That's it exactly, John. It's just exhausting. I hate to think about it, because it exasperates me. You know, I look back a year ago and I was still defending this administration against you and tejek and others. I can now freely admit that I was wrong to defend them. Still don't agree with some of the points you make and most of the points that tejek makes, but we can all agree that Bush is an idiot on his brightest days.

I can't believe I tried to defend these jerks. I've never seen anything like this administration either. Frankly, I think they are more negligent and more criminal than Nixon ever was. It puts me in a real quandry, because I still have my old-style Republican values, but I have no party that represent me anymore. All I end up thinking is come fast 2008 and I pray they don't do too much more damage in the next 3 years.

Living in the Bush Presidency has revealed to me how the Germans of the 1930's were conned into supporting Hitler. Rove uses the same chops as Goebells.

Re: Well we are providing huge tax breaks to the energy companies that effectively continue our dependence on oil... and all the consequences that entails.

Fortunately, your addiction to Arab oil will soon come to an end... As the world's biggest producer of bullshit, the US might well be sitting on the world's largest oil reserves!! That is, according to some Japanese scientist... Clue:

Fuel of the future: petrol extracted from cow dung

Cattle dung may be a new source of petrol, Japanese scientists said yesterday.

Sakae Shibusawa, a professor at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, said his team had extracted petrol from cow dung by applying high pressure and heat.

"The new technology will be a boon for livestock breeders to reduce the burden of disposing of large amounts of waste," Prof Shibusawa said. About 500,000 tonnes of cattle dung are produced each year in Japan, he said.

The team hopes to improve the technology so that it can be used commercially within five years, Prof Shibusawa said.

Soon, CNN, CBS, Fox News, the NYT, and all other US medias will provide you with a cheap, inexhaustible source of energy! Just turn the radio on or stuff the last issue of the high-octane Washington Post into your fuel tank and... drive on!
