OK, plenty of Israelis, including old friends of mine who ended up being active in the settler movement, said that the U.S. got its comeuppance on 9/11 from God for siding with the Palestnians.

I know lots of Israelis myself (I used to work for an Israel trip provider). Just had lunch with a member of the Israeli Air Force in NYC, and most do like Americans. But some don't. That's my point. Some Egyptians don't either, and I agree with you on that, but what I don't agree with you on is that it means that Egypt isn't our "friend."

Heck, Pat Robertson insinuated that Ariel Sharon's stroke was a punishment from God for pulling out of Gaza. Doesn't mean that America isn't a friend to Israel.
