If you can't stand toe to toe with your accusers then you can't stand a chance of being president.

Kerry could have been president, but he would have needed to make the smearvets fumble and then take the ball to the goal line...you know what I mean?

You stand toe to toe. You take the initiative away by challenging a face to face televised meeting. It would have been a one two punch election over. If you don't do that, your opponent scores big time.

Kerry is not done. He may have won in 2004 and beat Bush in all three debates. In any case it was a close election and the truth about Bush hadn't really come out yet.

Kerry is one of the top three candidates for 2008 on the Dem side. There are about three on each side. So Kerry has about a 20% chance of becoming the next president. At this point anyway. Warner also has a 20% chance.

I largely discount Hillary and Guiliani because I don't think they will be nominated. Give them 10% chance each. If Gore changes his mind and enters, he and Warner will be the top two. If not, then Kerry and Warner are the top two. Hillary is third. There are a few other dark horses. Like Biden and Edwards at 5%. But so far I feel no momentum for either one of them.

McCain has a 60% chance of winning the GOP nod. He may be tough to beat. I give him 30% chance of being president because the GOP is so discredited. George Allen is the other one, but he's too much of a Bushie and would lose in the general election like Dole. Give him 5% chance. So give dems a 65% of winning depending on who the nominee is.

Kerry is running, so even if he finishes #2 he may become the VP and eventually president. But he may win. he may be able to beat McCainb. And he will make a great president. Almost everything Bushies said about him was a lie. He is the most qualified of any democrat. Give him 25% chance of being either pres, nominee or VP.
