Ultimately, the Israelis are responsible for what they do with the ordnance we sell them. And I certainly have less concern about them receiving Harpoons than I do with Iran receiving Silkworm missiles.

Your statements are the problem that both nuclear and missile nonproliferation efforts face. You can't say in case A that its the responsibility of the buyer, and the seller is absolved, while in case B, it must be stopped at all costs at the seller source. Your statements show an utterly lack of willingness to seek balanced solutions, hence you will never get a solution, but merely perpetuate the problem.

I have never denied that the West in general has better accountability, hence should be "trusted" with more dangerous toys. But this does nothing to mitigate the drive that those toys induce in countries which find themselves politically at odds, or even neutral to the West.
