They were outbid by the foreign governments of Singapore and UAE. No private concern can compete on a level playing field with companies backed by wealthy foreign governments.

My point was FAIR and FREE TRADE:

Stand up for Capitalism and free markets, don't let FOREIGN GOVERNMENT OWNED 'businesses' bid on critical infrastructure projects state-side... unless and until US companies are allowed to do exactly the same in those foreign lands.

No more Uncle Sucker.

That's not 'Protectionist', that's simply standing up for equal market access for OUR COMPANIES.

Buffy does not seem to understand that the Chinese run ports in America are ALSO government owned....yet he screams about little ol Dubai.

Personally, I don't care whether Dubai gets the ports or not, I just wanted to bing a different view than the shrill screams of the lefties and the sissy Republicans who jump on the media bandwagon to save their arses.
