Several years ago I went with a friend who was presenting a paper at an academic conference to Boston. While she was presenting at her conference I was figuring out the transportation system.

We touristed for several days. We took a walking tour ot the town which took us to many sites of historic significance. Back then, I did not care as much about politics as I do now, so I never even noticed that the were NE liberals.

Another great way to see the country by car is to stay off the interstates. Next time you head east by car, try taking US 12 or US 2 instead of I-90. You'll get a muc different view of the country.
