He was the runt of the litter and we had instant love for him. The blanket was a genuine human baby blanket and may have been the first thing he received that the others in the litter didn't take from him. He was bound and determined to keep it and seemed so grateful for us making sure he and the rest of our animals knew it was his (we had 2 other dogs - strays we adopted - and 3 cats). You should have seen how our dogs would protect our cats from the neighborhood dogs that would sometimes pack and try to get our cats; never worked, with the family of protectors we had.
