Wrong. Tony never testified so we don't have Tony's version in the transcripts at all. What we have is Cleveland's version. As you will see in this transcript excerpt, Cleveland does indeed brag about how it was his idea to use Tony to help him and Royer make money:

Dale, shame on that forked tongue of yours, is this not an assertion, and a distorted one at that:

If Tony had testified, he would have spent many agonizing days on cross having every contradiction in his testimony ripped to shreds in front of the jury. Since just about everyone else he ever dealt with including his mother thought he was a fraudster and a liar, you can imagine how a jury would have reacted.

Let's not forget you were a "man in blue" on Tony's site at one point in time, giving long traders your stock comments, etc...which explains your position against Tony due to your fallout with him, however justified you may or may not have been at the time.
