Elroy, If the technology development is nearing an end, why wouldn't AMD's share head toward 50% instead of 20%?

Intel has the advantage of volumes and marketing. Thus Intel can redefine the rules of the game to whatever suits them best.


That's what conventional wisdom would tell you, but then it doesn't seem to be working.

Meanwhile AMD's marketing department is a joke, so much so that they're relying on their anti-trust lawsuit vs. Intel as a vehicle for PR.

You just said INTC has the advantage of volumes and marketing....if so, why was it necessary to take a cheap shot at AMD's marketing dep't?

BTW I don't think Elroy meant his post to be provocative, and yet your response suggests that he did.
