no no, not talking houses, land or even high end condos in SF. Just talking about the junk that popped up in the late 70s. I'm just equating that level of junk to what has sold today. I don't think the junk buyers are going to get their money out, no matter how long this downturn lasts.

I had a friend who was trying to sell a townhouse-like condo, still a condo but on a few floors, in 1999 which around here was the absolute boom period. Even then, it took him a year to find a buyer. There just isn't any market for condo conversions in the middle of apt land out here.
