Well, let's see. I definitely have changed my mind about a lot since then. First, I'd still say that France and Germany were very wrong about Saddam. I continue to believe that. Their response to our concerns about Iraq was exactly what pushed us to the invasion in the first place. If they had stood with us in pressuring Iraq and providing a unified front, perhaps Saddam would have backed down and perhaps we wouldn't have had to invade to find out that there were no WMDs. However, would I have supported Bush in going to Iraq in hindsight? Most certainly not. Because never in my wildest dreams would I have expected Bush to be so completely inept and to be someone who makes so many stupid mistakes. If it had been a smarter President with a global consensus, then I would have still supported an Iraq invasion. But as I've stated before, a MUCH smarter response to 9/11 would have been to focus all of our money and national willpower on getting off the oil. You know, there are just so many mistakes Bush has made over the last few years that I simply exhaust myself to think about them.

know. Doesn't it just crack you up? The liberal left of this thread are just beside themselves with anger that America has not failed. They just can't stand it that France and Germany were wrong. They just can't stand it that their idea of helping Iraq was leaving Saddam in power and that Bush's different idea turned out to be one that the Iraqis themselves wanted. I must say, I am enjoying immensely their lack of composure. All they can do now is resort to insults, because all their eloquence has fled in the face of the brutal truth that they were WRONG! I ran into this 1 year old post (somehow) this morning...responds to another from a thread passer_by, references Hamas, Egypt, etc...want to revise your comment above? LOL.
