Iraq is not VN, but nor is it a domino in the WOT. And if it is, it can be argued that we helped make it that way. To me Saddam was a mafia chieftan and theoretically we could have gotten him to call off the dogs for a price. Metternich might have loved such a plan but with guys like saddam, deals like that melt away when the next opportunity to make some money appears. So i think that those of us who supported the war for his removal and now have different views on where to go from here, all need to fess up anyway that mismangagemnt of the post war situation is the core of our current problem.
