I don't care to continue living in the past. I have to live in the present and plan for the future.

Saddam is the past. Zarqawi is the present, and hopefully not the future. We can argue until the cows come home the efficacy of overthrowing Saddam. But his fate was his choice to make. He was provided NUMEROUS chances to avoid overthrow, including the cease-fire in 1991. But he chose a different path and attempted to corrupt the UNSC and entire UN in the process.

Our current problem are the millions of young Arabs in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Iran. They have got to be presented with economic and political hope that they can avoid the circle of mafia violence that their parents were forced to live under.
