Just another day in beautiful downtown Baghdad. Pre-invasion, there were a lot of outdoor cafes, a very busy, if not prosperous, city. Now, it's the most God awful dangerous hellhole on earth.

All that for only $300 Billion and 1000's of US soldiers killed and maimed, and thousands of Iraqi's killed and maimed.


Can you imagine......they were able to pick off a top general? The anarchy must be much worse than I imagined. I would never have expected to read such a headline.

Lot's of civil war/power grabs in the Iraq mix. Bush ignored warnings of this. Without Saddam holding it together Iraq is a fragmented country. Maybe civil war is the only thing that will straighten it out. A country has to want democracy. It's harder to just shove it on them when they haven't paid the price.
Probably not a good idea to just pull out right now...maybe start this year
