My wife is responsible for insurance remimbursement on her floor of the hospital she works in. She tells me that Medicare has already cut back so much already that many patients do no longer get the care that they need. Basically Medicare requires certain minimums before treatment can be provided and then requires certain maximums in terms of days of treatment to get well. Sadly, human bodies are not all the same and often they have to discharge a patient they feel is in danger. jdn
