re: You can take the way Iraq was a few months back, look at it now, see that it is worse, and consider this negative change a trend that will be durable. Possibly you would be correct but its far from certain. Or you can take Iraq at any time in the last three years, and look a few months back, and you will see things getting continually much worse in each and every period. A casual and logical observer would say this is real nasty trend, and not bet on a 180 degree turn. It's three years "durable" so take a bite of reality instead of partisan wishful thinking.
