Wrong - they protect rights, not looters. re:The reason the NRA jumps on such issues is that racial phobia is at the heart of the reason for existence, along with lobbying for the weapons manufacturers The reason is that rights are being violated by the government - doesn't it bother you that the government is actively taking away citizens rights to self defense - it's not like law abiding citizens were out looking for looters, they simple wanted to defend themselves and their families from the "gangs" of looters and rapists the media said were on the loose. re:Of course, they do everything they can to camouflage this. The only camouflage is from Nagin and his bullshit about disarming citizens to protect them - we all know the government failed in spades (no pun intended) to protect the people of New Orleans.
