UnD - I'd think that now, while there's little competition and good demand, would be the time to "strike while the iron is hot". The closer Intel's NGA comes to release, the tougher the competition will get, regardless whether it ultimately fully pans out as Intel claims. Once it's released and the reality of its performance is made known, then things will settle in as approriate according to NGA's capability, good or bad.

I say lock in the design wins now, and increase production capability as fast as is needed.
