agree, but the dissatisfaction is growing. Someone, either a demo or a third party candidate, will figure out a way to exploit it.

The demos will try for a wedge issue. It won't work, esp. after the exp. with Perot. However, we need a true conservative, someone who remembers the Contract for America, to mount an insurgency. Closing the borders would be nice, too.

Seems unlikely and it isn't in the DNA of the party, but if things keep up like this someone within the party will seize the opportunity.

That's what politicians do. Eat their own if need be. There is a lot of unhappiness out there.

The answer is what I have been preaching. Destroy the Democratic party as it stands now and rebuild it anew with strong, American Values people. That would give us a great two party system where THE BEST come to the top, not the cutest, the richest or the ones from the right state. Imagin if all our statesmen were like Truman, Zell Miller, and many others, mostly from the past. jdn
