Last time I was in Nam they werent very friendly. haha. But, Saigon was always a great place. Cant speak for Hanoi and I would imagin if anyone were angry with us it would be them up there, those are the ones we bombed.
As to reporting, Vietnam reporting was much more censored then Iraq is today. Least that was my understanding.
Thank God, I was long gone from in country when we pulled out. I would have been so ashamed. We left a lot of them behind that helped us and they probably had to pay the piper for it. Worst of all, was the Montegards who helped us immensely and we abandoned them completely. jdn
