It was one of those things that seemed illogical, like the Catholic concept of being born with original sin. I never bought that concept even when I was a small child studying my Catechism. The idea that an individual should carry blame, solely on the basis of having been born (male or otherwise), for things done by other men doesn't set well with me.

Plus, you can't hold people in the present or in the past accountable for actions that were done in previous generations when social norms for both the sexes were so completely different. It's like the people who want to discredit the founding fathers for writing about people being created equal and then owning slaves. They were subject to their times the same way we all are.
