Well, it was another positive day for the Group, SOX, and NASDAQ. They were up by 0.9, 0.3, and 0.7 percent respectively. For the week so far, the Group, SOX, and NASDAQ are up by 4.4, 2.0, and 2.2 percent respectively. After all of these years, Lam is finally starting to get the respect many of us said they deserved. Once again, the analysts are proving to be far behind the curve.

NVLS versus LRCX: does not really make sense - in particular it's weird because of coincidence of the timing (upgrade one and downgrade the other). Two SCE that don't compete with each other but AMAT and TEL; my first reaction was that NVLS must have lost something significant - like a pending CMP deal but than I learned that CSFB upgraded LRCX at the same time - and that's weird. Never trust an downgrade and never trust an upgrade because these individuals making the calls - even if they have the technical background are chained to the trading desk. My point is neither upgrade or downgrade but the coincidence of the two events. Beside CSFB analyst performance while pulling in six digit $$$ compensation should be considered marginal for figuring out LRCX earnings potential once again late
