The true conservative republicans now realize that Bush is an albatross around their necks that could sink them for years to come. They were willing to go along for a while in the interests of National Unity in Wartime, but conservatives believe in so many principles that Mr. Bush does not even seem to know exist: smaller government, balanced budgets, spending restraint, caution in entering unprovoked foreign involvements, protection of individual privacy against government intrusion. Running the business of government as a business...efficiently and responsibly. Only the lemmings are left and as they charge toward the cliff a few are starting to look over their shoulders and slow down a bit. Cyberken always says follow the money. Well, the monied are starting to desert Mr. Bush too, as evidenced by the recent figures. Where will their money go? Could Bush actually break 30%?
