I said Moore's film was 95% correct. There was a Unocal pipeline deal in Afghanistan which Bushies cared a great deal about, but it was not the reason to invade Afghanistan. In fact Bushies entertained and lobbied the Taliban leaders in DC as the film shows.

The Afghanistan pipeline idea is not a myth. In fact, Dumbya used extending the TAP (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan) pipeline to India as a bribe to appease them and make the Indians give up on their idea of a Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline. But anybody expecting a pipeline going through Afghanistan to have even 50% uptime, is just plain nuts. There are not enough US soldiers to protect the pipeline there, since Dumbya has got his nuts caught in the vicegrip of Iraqi resistance fighters.
