"Still, a guy who's not allowed to take impromptu press questions, who probably still gets daily speech tutoring, is just a talking head." I think it's not that he's not allowed. If it were up to him, he'd never meet the press at all. He seems to think that when we elected him, that was the end of our input or right to know. I think he's forced to meet them occassionaly by Rove and Card, much against his wishes, but he respects them. They are the ones who got a guy as dumb and unworthy as him elected in the first place, and he's well aware of that. He's in charge. Even the defectors from the admin. like Clarke and O'Neil say that. His "management" style is to delegate almost everything, but the big "decisions" are his. They may be manipulated by the smarter aides around him, but he THINKS he's the one making them.
