"Hence you don't know the difference between superstition and fact in all cases... that's the point."

You are making a great effort NOT to get this, aren't you??

WEBSTERS:

1 a : a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation b : an irrational abject attitude of mind toward the supernatural, nature, or God resulting from superstition
2 : a notion maintained despite evidence to the contrary.

Just because facts do not have infinite certainty does not mean they are indistinguishable from superstitions.

"Well, IMHO you'd be way wrong"

Is there any chance you might consider addressing the logical basis for some of your vaunted opinions rather than simply asserting the obvious (jmho, bwtfdik, and all that clabber??)

"Thank you Solon the theologian.... -gggg-"

I'm glad you are so amused by my remark that "The few good ideas voiced in the “New Testament” were never original and were said better by others". Is there some particular reason for your smarmy attitude??

"LOL... it's not MY idea... but I'll weigh your opinion vs the scientists putting the idea forward. :)"

You simply do not understand quantum mechanics.

"Do a web search... it's all speculation anyway, as I said... these are ideas that are very interesting IMHO... they are for discussion, anyone can just say it's bull."

I was not prerpared to say you were "full of bull" without giving you the opportunity to explain what you meant and what you were speculating about. You drop these unformed ideas into the middle of a post and you (apparently) expect some sort of argument for or against. But for or against WHAT is the question that keeps sprawling across the tracks of your posts.

"It's clear you're looking for validate your beliefs as opposed to discussing ideas"

I've been discussing ideas with you, but whenever I ask you what you are talking about or speculating on or what point you wish to make, you move from puzzles to saying nothing at all. It is like you are telling us:

"Hey! I've got something to say! If you really cared about me you would read my mind and you would research on my behalf and you would put all my thoughts into decent English!"

Well--sorry, DAK! I'm not your mother! If you think it is important to discuss whether Jesus existed or what books best embody spiritual values or truths, then I'm with you. But your pouting does not impress. And your unwillingness to acknowledge the validity of points made does not impress, either.
