if u file your tax returns correct, u offset US taxes paid against NZ taxes paid. the 2 countries have a bilateral agreement on this.

I found NZ to be best when I was living there. the req was "earn for 1 year, file your tax returns, eligible to vote". That to me, is taxation with representation.
