This ain't no Packers game. CABS??? ROFL!!!!!! Texans don't use cabs, Oral, they don't even ride with a buddy. EVERYONE drives here. § 49.02. PUBLIC INTOXICATION. (a) A person commits an offense if the person appears in a public place while intoxicated to the degree that the person may endanger the person or another. oh wait...it does NOT say, except bars. There are entirely too many deaths in Texas due to drinking. We were going to eat one night, and came upon a head on. We were the second ones there after the collision. As I ran to the car and looked in the drivers door, the driver, male, had the transmission of the car shoved through his chest, he was gone. His female passenger had her seat belt on and it looked as if every bone in her body was broken, but she was still alive. While the first person there tried to work with her, his friend went to call an ambulance. I and my friend then ran to the overturned pickup, where a man was hanging upside down in his seat belt. He was moaning but had a massive cut on his neck and while we tried to pry open a door, and then tried to cut his belts, he bled to death. Later that night, at the hospital, the woman died also. As I read about it in the paper the next day, I forget what the blood alcohol level of the pickup driver was, but it was enough. So, if a few lives get saved by arresting the drunks IN the bars...then more power to them, and I could not give a rat's ass if every bar went out of business.
