I would concur with Jewish Scriptures, but since Christianity is primarily based upon the New Testament, I would be curious to know if you have a reference to such scriptures in the NT?

There is a tendency on the part of Christians (varies by denomination) to pick and choose in the OT. So Genesis 1 & 2 are held literally by some, not by others, same goes for Exodus 20. Much of Deut & Levit which have some of the nastier OT practices, are quite shunned. But there never was a nice clean explanation with definitive instructions in the NT as to which parts of the OT were good and which should be avoided. Hence all the Christian denominations of today.
