<<Then why did we go to war with Iraq in 1991, if we were such strong supporters of Saddam?>>

Because he invaded Kuwait.....by virtue of this act and the conclusion of his war against Iran he became expendable to OUR interests. The point of my previous reply to you is how WE support dictators when it is in OUR best interests. Our best interests change over time. Why is this difficult for you to grasp?? You do agree that we supported Saddam in the 80s, right???

<<Why would we have worked to undermine his regime throughout the time of the '90's if we were so fond of Saddam??>>

See above.....

<<We've found ourselves "played" by corrupt and dictatorial regimes>>

We've also "played" corrupt regimes for OUR best interest....there's 2 sides to the coin.

<<And then we have China, which is still efffectively a "fascist" state because the govt permits and harnesses private industry to it's own goals, while still controlling the political system for its own benefit.>>

That's actually Communism.....Fascism is the opposite i.e. where private industry harnesses the Govt. for it's own good over the rights of the people.

Fox has live paris riots. Vacationers will be changing their plans in droves. Police grossly outnumbered and under mild attack. On one hand we had north africans largely rioting for jobs and now we have students rioting for guaranteed lifetime jobs for them only---thank God, US is not class based/socialist society. I wonder if France can survive this.
