I already had an after work cocktail, I forgot. But I'll let you know... maybe tomorrow. re: I'll eventually get a bottle or two to you, of my best favorites. May not be Barolo, because I really prefer Barbaresco or - 150 miles East of that - Amarone. It's weird to accept stuff from Internet friends... I don't know why. For a while we had a bet on the Golf Majors on the golf thread, and that kind of died. re: Get down to your local prime dealer and check out on "Alegrini". The vintage doesn't matter that much, they get tre bichierri (3 glasses) every year. And it's "only" about 45-55$. Great value for a truly prime wine. Very close to Barolo as well. I will. And I'll let you know what I think. We have a very nice wine store - b-21.com close by. Several others as well. re: Back to my offer, next time I get to FL, let me know where I can deposit the bottles. I really mean it. Maybe. My favorite local restaurant is Zante Cafe (http://www.dineoutpinellas.com/site.php?site=zante), a truly bizarre place with maybe the best chef in the Tampa Bay area. A great part is they have no liquor license, so you bring your own for a modest corking fee. re: What you told me so far makes me believe that people work for you because they like to, because they want to work for you and because what they gain from that is a fair deal on top of what others offer them - long term. I hire and manage sales people, and I seldom hire people with sales experience, because they usually have been badly trained to be aggressive. Good salespeople work hard to find a match of need and product benefit. Then all that is important is ethical and clear, honest communication. Commerce is all about passing on benefits... and it's beautiful when it works. Everybody is happy. re: I am proud of having been able to run my business on those premisses for 37 years now. No cheating, ny lying, no cutting corners, just do your job and do it well. Good for you. The ethics are the key. Otherwise why bother? As you get older you realize that making people happy is what every transaction is about... John
