"You don't get real Texmex in CA, that's why." Brightly colored corn chips... When was in Vegas, I was taken to "a great Texmex place". It wasn't. A Monterey House with cat heads in the dumpster would beat it, hands down...

You don't get real Texmex in CA, that's why. I've had TexMex in TX numerous times......never in CA. I think TexMex has more starch to it than CA Mex. That's why I prefer CA Mex. And if Taro is right about the jalopeños, its another reason for my choice. I think its what you experience first........in LA, guys from TX were always pining for TexMex. <g>
