re: I've had TexMex in TX numerous times......never in CA. I think TexMex has more starch to it than CA Mex. That's why I prefer CA Mex. And if Taro is right about the jalopeños, its another reason for my choice. I think its what you experience first........in LA, guys from TX were always pining for TexMex.

Is there a MexMex?

Taro is a Swedish boob - he said he ate Texmex at a DENNY'S twenty years ago in CA, and that was the basis of his "judgement"!

Real TexMex is as hot as you want it. They have jalapeno eating contests in Texas!
