That is an excellent exchange. When a judge says something like this,you know that partisans are in trouble: "a president would be remiss in exercising his constitutional authority to say that, "I surrender all of my power to a statute." And, frankly, I doubt that Congress in a statute can take away the president's authority — not his inherent authority but his necessary and — I forget the constitutional — his necessary and proper authority."

The NY Times is the most credible newspaper in the world. 99.9% accurate, just as they were accurate about Bush breaking the laws spying on Americans without warrants and snubbing his nose at FISA and congress, then lying about it and making very lame and phony excuses. The Ny Times only big mistake was believing Bush and cheney´s lies in the run up to the war. That´s when they blew it and had to detract. The rightwing´s attack on our finest press sources is shameful. All they want is to replace news and fact with Hannity and Limbaugh style propaganda. And those big mouths are proven serial liars. I´ll always remember for instance, Hannity saying that the Iraqi oil would pay for the entire war. What a sleazy pimp and evil liar. he is personally responsible for helping to get a lot of US troops killed and US taxpayers and consumers gouged and ripped off. Like delay, Hannity and Limbaugh should resign. The way they spread lies should be illegal.
