we're all fcuked???

No - it is all in how you frame the problems of your world. Go read asimovs book, I Robot.

Currently we have an ownership society - we have systems and gubbments and such that will only reward you if you produce something - in this type of system a non producing baby will starve to death even though food is plentiful.

In a star trek type world - if there is enough food for all - then no babies will starve - even if they dont produce anything. Lives transcend profit. Is that communist/socialist?

Bono had a talk with Bush during a prayer breakfast saying it is crazy all the debt the rich countries have thrown on the backs of the poor countries and expect them to pay it off - he was very happy when the world bank and IMF wrote off lots of that debt. Doesn't that make Bono a commie bastard?

When Bill Gates goes and gives free medicine to people in Africa who cant afford to buy it - doesn't that make the ultimate capitalist a socialist pig?
