"So it's alright to have Chinese troops in Saudi Arabia?"

I don't think that China would be so stupid to put troops into SA. They would support US troops on that issue. Do you see anti US policy from China? Sale of US reserves that China holds? No and why not? Because they can see that the US is a paper tiger. So they let the US ruin itself and then pick up the pieces.

"So let's see.. economically speaking you're claiming that a lower global supply of oil, combined with a ever increasing demand equation, equates to diminishing economic power for the ME oil producing states??

That just doesn't make sense. If anything, with oil prices on the increase, and some projecting $100/barrel oil, their international power INCREASES!!"

There are 2 points that you fail to see:
1) The long term effects of higher oil prices force the use of alternatives to oil. This, turn, forces ME oil prices down.
2) That when ME oil consumption is reduced then the price goes down if there is no increase in demand.

As far as a lower global supply goes I have not gotten into the dynamics of that problem. Here prices will increase until there is no more oil at which point prices will fall to close to zero since demand will fall to close zero. Prior to that there will be severe cutbacks in consumption mandated by governments and wide spread unemployment as energy intensive companies will have to close.

" Saudi Arabia has a tremendous burden in continuing economic growth in order to provide jobs for these people. Because it's certain the Kingdom is not going to be able to continue providing monetary subsidies and stipends."
Saudis don't work in SA, foreigners do.

"So maybe you DO want to invade the "badlands" of Pakistan, and/or Saudi Arabia"
As I said before let the CIA do their job.

"Oh? what part of the Iraqi population has such a vested interest"
There is a wide spread need among Iraqis to westernize their country. They come from all walks of life and sects. Iraqi refugees and returning Danes(prior to the invasion) all agree on that. But they want Iraqi solutions not US solutions.
