Now that Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham is at Club Fed serving his time for corruption, the House of Representatives has two more wackos whose constituents should be ashamed for having elected them. First there was Baghdad Jim McDermott of Seattle who lost an appeals court case because he had illegally distributed an illegal tape-recording of a cell phone conversation back in the ’90s.

Then today, on the day that Democrats unveil their “real security” plan, anti-Semitic Rep. Cynthia McKinney of Georgia slugs a Capitol Hill policeman.

I'm quite sure that I know who the enemies are and dealing with them as common criminals via the CIA is a far better way to get the job done.

I think we all know who the primary ring leaders are Noel. That's kind of a no brainer.

It's where they are located at, SPECIFICALLY, that is the question.

And guess what.. The CIA is NOT super-human. In fact, their HUMINT capabilities are extremely constrained in comparison to those of the military (which are, themselves, constrained).

So forgive me Noel, but you don't really know what the hell you're talking about. I was there for a year and a half and saw what we could, and couldn't, achieve.

Do you really believe the CIA, DIA, and other unamed groups are NOT dedicating every possible asset possible to find Bin Laden and the rest of the AQ Senior Leadership? If you do, then you're wrong and you're just talking out of your behind.

Our intelligence agencies HAVE TO COOPERATE with host country intelligence services. And guess what?? As that article I posted explains, you liberals have muddied the perception of American will in finding these AQSL fellows to the point that the intelligence agencies are hesitating in offering all the assistance needed.

They are hedging their bets that some milque-toast sucessor to Bush is not going to twist their arms to make the kind of hard political decisions necessary to force them to confront the Islamo-Fascist threat in their midst.

This is what people like Murtha, Dean, and other liberals have accomplished. You have convinced many of these corrupt and teetering regimes that they can return to the previous status quo because America doesn't have the will to push them for cooperation and reform.

Finding Bin Laden will achieve very little unless we continue to "stiffen the spine" of these regimes and require that they reform.

As for your "horse to water" analogy.. AGAIN, you really don't understand human nature. The only reason people don't express the desire that their government should be accountable to their needs is because they have been coerced and intimidated by the powers that be, to keep their mouths shut and not subvert the political power of the ruling elite (tribal, religious, or state based).

I REFUSE to accept that people, if freely offered the opportunity to elect their own representatives without retribution from their current rulers, will refuse to be involved in those elections. It is inherent in human nature to have a say in who governs them. Few people truly enjoy being dictated to.

And yes, there is a risk that some Islamo-Fascists, such as Hamas, might find themselves in power as a result. But you know something?? Just as the Germans freely elected to surrender their freedoms to Hitler in exchange for order, security, and visions of restored greatness, it's possible that we'll finally be able to call a "spade a spade". We'll no longer need to worry about dealing with "innocent civilians" because the election of an Islamo-Fascist government will denote that the population of that country is TRULY OUR ENEMY, with the relevant economic and possibly military repercussions that will follow.

People have a right to decide the course of their lives, even if those decisions lead to their defeat and destruction. They have a right to make these decisions, and a right to enjoy the benefits, or suffer the consequences that result.

And it is our job, if not our obligation, to advance democratic reforms in order to define who are our friends, and who are our enemies.
