Lizzie, I'm just guessing but I think Lenovo is going to take market share from Dell... outside the US mostly, right where the markets are growing. (Is Lenovo selling Linux preloaded?)

I predicted that Apple would take a bit of a dive during the crossover phase so I wasn't surprised at the profit taking that's happened here. Apple is still on it's way to doubling or quadrupling as the transition completes itself, and more wouldn't surprise me. It seems like a predictable buying opportunity to me. We understand this transition way better than most consumers or even most investors. We see the rationality and the synergy with Linux. I can't see Apple tripping up now. The important stuff has been done. Now all they have to do is tweak the business. Improve their relations with the old glass room people. They already have the Linux crowd WOWED. It's a done deal.

What COULD trip them up? I can see only one thing... Adobe. But I don't think Adobe can stand up to Apple. Not with what they charge for Photoshop. Apple proved that with Final Cut. They know Apple can develop a replacement and sell it for less. Much like Microsoft and Office.

Oh and maybe the recent management quitters. I think thought, the tough part has been done and they can live without them. OSX is SOLID and ready to take on the future for at least 10 years. (Vista is pulling apart at the seams and Microsoft doesn't have the talent or vision to develop a brand new OS.)
