Peter, The officer was employed to protect the security of his post, and should have the same freedom to do so as any policeman. Since this woman slapped him in the face, that is assault on a policeman, and she should have had her ass thrown in jail just like any other citizen.

IMO, this was reverse discrimination, and that this Congress woman should be punished even more than the average citizen, because she is supposed to know better.

You're right, and since she had no identification, how was the policeman to know who she was? Why does she ALWAYS play the race card...and I do mean ALWAYS!
