Hello combjelly, et al.

I'm new to this board, but mostly have my thoughts over on QCOM. I've been reading what appears to be some of the "regulars" here and have some questions.

First, I would like to address a possible typo on your part (lord knows I've made plenty :>))with your follow up opinion on 2007;

AMD is currently priced for an EPS of somewhere around $1. It will likely make at least half that for Q1 and the same or more in Q2. So the question on the table is "what happens when Conroe hits the market?". If you think that Intel will grab back all of AMD's recent gains in a quarter or two, then the current price is justified. If you think that AMD will stop gaining share and possibly lose a little, then it is under priced. If you believe that Conroe and family may reduce the market share erosion of Intel, but won't stop it until well into next year when AMD will have K8L and 65nm, then it is really under priced...

I would think that would mean overpriced? Unless AMD at least holds onto these market share gains, the threat of Intel regrouping by 2007 is very real. I realize that it is being postulated that Intel is attacking the problem incorrectly, but price wars might compress P/E's?

Your opinion on the person that offered an estimate of .92 for 2006, but has 2007 at .50...what's up with that? I would think that there would need to be at least 1.10 to maintain a 35 P/E.

Thanks for your time.
