They start to depart from reality here: Having effective counteroperations to current and previous acts in the information environment, not just attrition warfare in the physical environment, is important. Shaping the information environment is not merely denying information to adversary decisionmakers; it is denying them results from their actions. How on earth does a foreign occupying army take control of not only the official information environment but all the forces that shape neighborhood perceptions, pretend that what happened hasn't happened or means what the US Army wants it to mean? Noble goal but a pipe dream in practice. Pay no attention to those men behind the curtain with the bombs and guns, they aren't really there for all practical political purposes. Ignore anyone who is killed by them, doesn't matter. Huh?
