Now, what happened to them? Which Communist countries were defeated militarily by the West? How did they actually change? Neo, I FULLY acknowledge that Islamo-Fascism has little chance to accomplish their agenda of world domination. But let's remind ourselves that the Soviets held power and advanced the cause of world Communism for over 70 years. It required tremendous amounts of treasure, and considerable blood being spilled throughout the globe to contain and finally discredit the ideology. We failed to oppose Hitler when we had the chance, just as we failed to stare down Stalin at the end of WWII, when he imposed his "iron curtain" upon the European continent and unleashed communist insurgencies throughout the globe. Thus, we have to ask ourselves whether we, knowing how previous totalitarian ideologies altered our world, however temporarily, in such a tremendous manner, can justify NOT opposing this relatively new totalitarian ideology while its still in its nascent state? Sometimes we need to just pull back and see the bigger picture and ask ourselves if we have the right to thrust the burden of opposing this totalitarianism upon our posterity. By now acting now, when we have the upper hand and the moral justification to oppose them as our enemies, we will undoubtedly save tremendous loss of life and lost years of global economic development in a large portion of the world. How can anyone reasonably argue against such a cause? Hawk
