The ISG Report contained overwhelming evidence of Saddam's clear intent to shed inspectors & sanctions via massive bribes from the Oil-for-Food Program (so your "Saddam was contained" meme is gutted).

The ISG Report also established his clear intent to resume production of WMD "stockpiles" when the inspections & sanctions ended, just as the report showed Saddam had many ties to terrorist groups.

The ISG Report provided ample evidence of numerous significant "real events" that justified his removal. All of them were egregious violations of the Cease Fire Agreement.

Now that these new documents, tapes & electronic data are being released, the evidence of WMD intent & terrorist ties is irrefutable. One now must pretend the ISG Report lacks the clear evidence it contains. They also must deny the existence of the new releases of data with additional evidence of WMD intent & terror ties if they wish to cling to their alternate realities.

Oh, and inserting your personal opinions as to what should & shouldn't be regarding the decision to go to war does not change President Bush's real world choices in a post 9/11 world.

Saddam was obligated by the Cease Fire Agreement. Saddam was making a mockery of it even after 9/11, violating every major requirement including;

- financing, harboring, training & conspiring with terrorists,
- failing to providing positive evidence of WMD disarmament,
- continuing to improve his WMD Program capabilities,
- shooting at coalition forces,
- impeding inspections &
- committing crimes against humanity, ET AL.

How could Bush credibly fight the GWOT with a rogue dictator thumbing his nose at the international community in the manner Saddam was operating?

You prefer to isolate this debate to only one reason artificially excluding every other reason as if they magically didn't exist. Then you apply discredited liberal memes to that single issue as if your audience was ignorant of reality. You then claim that Bush's "reasons" for going to war with Saddam were insufficient.

President Bush couldn't play word games & apply alternate realities like you & your liberal peers enjoy regularly doing. He has to live & act in the real world. And Job #1 for our President is National Security.
