Hello Pezz, Today's Report:

I bought more Thai Baht, paper gold, and Euro, using HKD, the USD proxy; enough to offset expected infusion of USD cash from real estate closing in T - 6 days.

I will probably buy something on the American and Canadian markets tonight.

The Iranians? They are building gadgets and testing widgets, which will cause your government to spend more and achieve less, leading to continuing liquidity release and wasteful spending, regardless of interest rate, floating pointless assets, dropping the purchasing power of the dollar, making some of us better off, at the expense of some of others.

Relax, the spiking surge is still ahead of us.

hello pezz, must crash, so marking the copy book now and report in the am ... sold some puts on FDG and ADM, bought more CWCP, and started with AEN/APXYF (same thing, different Internet broker symbol) per EP advice, and may have sold some junior gold by the time I wake up.

Hello Pezz, Follow-up Report:

Sold to open …

(1) FDG Sept Put 35 @ 2.25
(2) ADM Sept Put 35 @ 1.80

Bought, based on intuitive due diligence …

(3) More Message 22311756 CanWest Petroleum finance.yahoo.com @ 6.62, committing the sin of average down and doubling up (now the whole position is magically up, amazing);
(4) Austral Pacific Energy finance.yahoo.com @ 2.42-2.44, hoping for a 10 x per Energyplay pointer, or lose it all.

Sold the ponies first purchased here Message 22221841 <<March 2nd, 2006>> because they were slow, but still at aggregate 6% net gain, enough to make rising out of bed worthwhile, 60% annualized; I am letting the winners (Eldorado, Silver Standard, Yamana, Pan American) run on (still undecided about Gold Star) …

(5) Nevsun @ 3.0
(6) Minefinders @ 7.65
(7) Metallica @ 3.64
(8) Cambior @ 3.55
(9) Bema @ 4.80

It all goes to show, in a bull market, otherwise ill-considered moves are bailed out by enthusiasm of others; bless them.

I am still enthusiastic about gold because others are either scared of it or do not care for it; I am just not married to junior golds whose names I cannot remember.

Hello Pezz, Report:

I off-loaded

(a) CWPC at 7.35 before it collapsed in a heap. I sold it for reasons as mysterious as I had bought it Message 22334067 , tagging along with my betters, going with the flow. In aggregate, the experience was too exciting for 3% walking around moolah (note to isopatch: that was too dangerously exciting, does the company do anything :0)

(b) GLD at 58.60 in case it collapses in a heap before I can unload paper gold in HK on Saturday morning at 58.60, logging a gain Message 22294090 of 5.15% over so many days

(c) OIH at 151.11 for good measure, in case some news letter issues a similar dictate, snatching a gain Message 22294090 of 5.98% over so many hours

(d) XLE at 55.55 for no particular reason, since I am in a selling trigger pulling mode, and absconded with a loot Message 22294090 of 3.16% over so many minutes

(e) Strata Oil at 3.24 as long as I was harvesting, walking away with a gain Message 22228059 of 43% over a whole lot of seconds (note to Taikun: thank you!!!) – must buy this pony back at some point, for it runs well

(f) Opti-Canada at CAD 45.05 so as to add to Connacher in alignment with the Force according to everybody who knows better than I, escaping with a loot Message 21583359 of 19.34% over 8 long months – effectively eons

I purchased …

(g) more Austral Pacific Energy finance.yahoo.com at 2.6876, doubling up from 2.43 purchased here Message 22334067 . Its life energy appears strong, and a tip of the hat to Energyplay, who could be correct that AEN ends up a 10 bagger

(h) more Connacher finance.yahoo.com at CAD 4.85, averaging up from here Message 22311756 and here Message 21583118 (note to Alladin Sane: good one)

(i) to close Agnico Eagle Put August 25 at 0.65, after having sold to open here Message 22304100 at 1.37, claiming a well-deserved reward of infinity over 7 working days

Hello Pezz, Sunday Morning Report:
I was minding my business trudging through the HK airport and noted two items:

(1) The HKD:USD exchange rate, instead of the usual 7.75-7.78 available on the street, and the previous 7.70 available at airport money changer, is now going at 7.10 !?

(2) And I saw this on the Internet Message 22339462 , something about redoubling failing efforts, based on unshaking faith

So I looked in my wallet, saw excess cash, and exchanged them for two Canadian Maple Leaf 1 ounce coins, to give to the Coconut when I return from trip to Beijing.

I bought Canadian Maple because I believe its nominal value (CAD 50 legal tender) will rise against the USD, and its gold content worth will rise against USD. A win-win wager.

Hello Pezz, Report from a few Hours Ago:

Operation Exodus is officially closed now, and moolah ought to shower upon me when I return to HK.

Now I just need to redeploy the redeemed troops wisely over the next week, as I did with current order of battle, say to still more gold, yet more silver, a whole lot of uranium, pools of oil, caverns of natural gas, and a pile of non-USD/non-HKD cash.

On cash, I am more keen on Thai Baht than on the Euro. I think Europe is over priced, and only valuable when measured against the USD and JPYen.
