I am not one of those who believes that the Bush administration was responsible for that.

Twice before during the Clinton Administration, terrorists where thwarted from striking within our shores, the millennium bomber and the bomber who was arrested in Seattle. Bush also succeeded in thwarting the attack on the tallest building on the West Coast. He succeeded in doing so because of the tightening of domestic security. But the security was terribly lax in the first nine months of Bush's tenure. Worse still, our jets could not even be nearby to intercept the second plane.

PS: Yes, the economy is OK,...

Not sure what is your basis for saying so. I hope that you are not drawing your conclusion from the low jobless number since they do not reflect the chronically unemployed.

Allen....."PS: Yes, the economy is OK, but this is not necessarily due to anything the Bushies have done. Presidents actually have very little power to affect the overall economy. Meanwhile the national debt has increased to record levels. Dangerous levels, considering who owns most of that debt."....

Agreed. But the person I was posting to is not aware of this. :-)

...."Also, after the Cole bombing, the Clinton administration developed a comprehensive plan for dealing with radical islam, Al Qaeda, and terrorism in general and handed it to the incoming Bush administration, which did nothing about it until after 9/11. I would agree that the Bush failure to even address radical islam and terrorism (not even one meeting on the subject pre 9/11) was a big mistake.".....

Could you post a credible link as to this information about what clinton did about radical islam? I know he fired off a few cruise missiles into the Afgahan desert but did little else that I am aware of. He did fire cruise missiles at sadam and The Sudan but what did he do against al kida?

Allen, I note that you refer to the President of the USA...your President as the " bushie "... I had hoped you were above that.

IMO ALL Presidents, Prime Ministers, Leaders of countries make mistakes, lie, and minipulate and President Bush is no different than any of them and IMO for Americans to promote hate towards their own President is not a safe or wise thing to do.
