The bad news is - if my understanding is correct - that Emails are virtually ignored by those schmucks. Faxes or letters allegedly carry more weight.

But I wonder if they give a damn about any citizen input.

Firing off an email only succeeds in annoying some low level aide. Grassroots lobbying might get her attention, especially if she believes a significant bloc of votes may be involved.
