Off Topic....but

Went to the West Palm Boat Show a few weeks ago. Usually the South Fla boat shows are a pretty good indicator of where the real estate market is headed, due to the big ticket prices on anything that floats.

Got there on Sunday, the last day of the show. After walking all the docks it dawned on my wife and I that we had only seen one "sold" sign after viewing a couple 100 boats. Point being that the brokers love to slap a sold sign on everything they can write a deal on. After 4 days...we saw...one. I'm sure there were more that we didn't notice. For their sake I hope there were more....We did look at a 2003 38 Tiara express. It was reduced from $399K to $369. Gorgeous boat in really nice shape. I asked the salesman what they were looking to actually get for it...and he answered, "Just make an offer...it's been for sale for a year and the owner would just like to see an offer".

Makes you wonder how the outlook of $3-$4-$5 diesel will effect the economy....

Usually you see people sitting at tables...working deals.
At this show, which has gotten quite big, this year it appeared to be a social event.

"When Phoenix, Tucson merge "

I could always understand it along the coasts, but..

Maybe we really NEED the bird flu!

Arizona's two largest metropolitan areas are on course to meet and merge within a decade ...

Until every figures out they've run out of water !!

Oh yeah, and how much does air conditioning cost every month ?
