Have you read the recent article on hip replacement in the Globe... ?>> No I haven't..but i know there is a waiting list. Do you think that hip problems, knee problems come upon a person in an instant. No, they do not. What many people do not understand about our health care system is that they have to take personal responsibility for their own problems. How to do that?? Spend time and make the effort to get a good family doctor..I know there is not enough of them..but one must put in the time and effort and be persistent to get one. Next, see him regularly, if Knee or hip problems, start, you are in the system and with waiting times, problem is taken care of "before" you have extreme pain and can not walk.Family doctor is the gate keeper to the specialist. This applies to all aspects of your personal health, for men over 50.. DRE and PSA, fecal shyit test for collen cancer...colonoscopy, collesterol, heart problems etc. yearly...yearly catch it early early ..some want to ignore this and ""whine"" when they get nailed. Compared to many, the status quo for health care , ain't so bad in Canada, it won't bankrupt you as it will in other places.. leaving inheritance to rightful heirs. <<I have a dream... Where every child gets the best education they can PERIOD>> A grade 12 education on the taxpayer is not to shabby..what is wrong with the family then taking responsibility for further education..it is not like the government does not help...millennium scholarship fund...the 20 percent for RESP's <<ALTHOUGH IF WE SAVE YOUR ASS ONCE DUE TO YOUR STUPIDITY next go is at a premium... The mud is the Status quo..>> That is exactly the problem...the cost of saving everyones irresposible ass once>> "ignorance" about the so called "mud".... is the status quo. <<if we had fantastic healthcare and public education,>> Ain't so bad son<g> ain't so bad...as above and it is improving unfortunately there is a limited supply of money to throw at it. I somehow missed your post..so the late response. gg
