my father has just started to have nightmares in the last 10 days they're so obviously about the katrina experience being surrounded by african-american males with knives - pulling his head back, exposing his throat caught up in mardi gras riots in the quarter, trying to find a way out abandoned and alone in black in waters, trying to swim to safety [he was in an armed forces group that became the navy seals] in all dreams he is being pursed and trying to escape or find a way out he really hasn't had any psychological troubles till now and maybe this is a normal way of dealing with it - though I do think if it continues for any length of time, he should go for some type of counseling [but I doubt if he would]
