They are - no surprise here - Muslims.
The closest to Turks you get would be Kurds from the border areas close to Iran.

Turks per se would not get amnesty in Sweden today because they don't meet the criteria required for political asylum.

Here some stuff to read for a starter, all about the current ethnic crime situation in Scandinavia. Well documented in Denmark, to some extent in Norway and almost not at all in Sweden, where even mentioning the problem labels you as a racist on the spot.
